REHAB PILATES

Fitness Focus specializes in STOTT Pilates. This method of Pilates is highly respected by both health professionals and fitness instructors.  It offers a wide spectrum of difficulty, beginning with basic core and gentle joint stabilization and progressing into an advanced repertoire as clients are increasingly challenged with more advanced exercises. Simply put, Pilates is for everyone. From clients who are just starting their fitness journey, to elite athletes who would like to incorporate Pilates into their fitness regime, Pilates will strengthen, balance and lengthen their bodies.

At Fitness Focus we offer Reformer pilates classes, private sessions and semi-private sessions Monday thru Saturday.

Private Sessions - our private sessions consist of working one-on-one with one of our certified Pilates trainers. These sessions will be designed to meet your individual needs, goals and abilities.

Semi-Private Sessions - our certified Pilates trainers offer two person sessions for those who want to workout with a friend or family member. Working with someone who has similar fitness levels and goals is a great motivator and a fun way to stay in shape.

Reformer - the Reformer is a piece of equipment used in our Private, Semi-Private and Group Pilates classes. It glides on rollers and uses springs for resistance. The Reformer, along with other attachments, offers a variety of exercises and positions, with hundreds of variations. It also provides a no-impact workout which is great for those with injuries or conditions. Facilitating both strength and flexibility, the Reformer is suitable for all types of clients.

Group Reformer Classes - Fitness Focus offers multiple Group Reformer classes each week. Each class is 55 minutes long, taught by a certified Pilates trainer, and has a maximum of five participants. Five private sessions, or permission of the Pilates Program Director, is required prior to participation in Group Reformer classes.

Mat Classes - Mat Pilates classes focus on the principles of breathing, concentration and coordination through a low-impact workout. Mat Pilates is a series of exercises utilizing small equipment (bands, rollers, fitness circles and balls) in order to improve coordination, body awareness, posture and strength. Fitness Focus’ Mat Pilates classes emphasize both pelvic alignment and neutral spine, and how they affect core stability.
