Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT®)

What is MAT®?

  • A revolutionary approach to the assessment and correction of muscular imbalances, joint instability and limitations in motion.

  • A non-invasive technique designed to balance the muscle system with individuals of all ages.

  • Based on the principle that “tightness is secondary to weakness.”

  • Beneficial for those after an injury, frustrated with aging or looking to optimize athletic performance.

I was experiencing limited motion and pain in my neck and lower back from years spent sitting over a sewing machine. The results of MAT were immediate with no pain in my lower back and greater motion in my neck!
— Susan, MAT® Client

Your MAT® Specialist Will…

  1. Perform a joint motion and muscle strength assessment to determine which muscles would benefit from treatment.

  2. Utilize hands-on techniques to improve the activation of these muscles in order to enhance both your motion and strength.

  3. Establish a plan in order for you to continue to build on the gains you made during the session.

MAT has given me the confidence to continue playing golf by improving my strength and flexibility. You can see the results immediately after each treatment session. I have a lot of past injuries - but I feel young again!
