Every Monday & Wednesday @ 4-5 pm

Athletes:  Designed for young athletes 5th-8th grade (boys or girls)
Dates:  November 2nd - December 21st (No session 11/23)
Location:  Fitness Focus in Mahtomedi, MN

Cost:  $280 for the entire program

This is a HIGH ENERGY program that blends our knowledge & experience with your hard work & determination to make you a BETTER OVERALL ATHLETE. 
Features:
6-part educational series for parents on raising athletes
Pre-program and post-program athletic testing
Post-program personalized analysis for each athlete
Nutritional recommendations for athletes to optimize training
Safe strengthening of core, upper extremity and lower extremities
Training of correct athletic techniques of sprinting, jumping, backpedaling and cutting
Speed, agility and power training will include the use of:  Plyo Boxes, Nike SPARQ Blocks, Agility Ladders, Speed Hurdles, Resisted Running Recoils & High Speed Treadmill

Instructor:  Dr. Matt Zellmer - Doctor of physical therapy who is also a registered athletic trainer and strength and conditioning specialist
Experience in training soccer athletes ranging from youth to collegiate players

Open to any High School Athlete looking to Elevate their Game

Monday and Wednesday Evenings @ 3-4 PM or 5-6 PM

November 2nd - December 21st (No session 11/23)

Option for Continuation after Program Completion

Cost:  $280

Program will include:  Evidence-based programming for each athlete determined by the current phase of their season (periodization) and athletic goals

  • Weight training with the incorporation of plyometric exercises
  • Small group setting to allow for optimal focus on safe techniques
  • Education and implementation of short-term and long-term goal setting
  • Athlete education regarding recovery, nutrition, hydration and sleep
  • Educational content for parents and family regarding raising athletes

Program Director:  Dr. Matt Zellmer - Doctor of physical therapy who is also a registered athletic trainer and strength and conditioning specialist
Experience training high school and college athletes including soccer, basketball, tennis, football, lacrosse, hockey and baseball

Stepping Forward - A Fall Prevention & Wellness Program

Why do falls happen? Unfortunately, there is not just one easy answer....
It could be from:

  • Weakness or poor balance
  • Difficulty with walking
  • Dizziness
  • Icy conditions or a poorly placed rug
  • Fear of movement or lack of confidence

Luckily, most of these factors CAN BE IMPROVED with training no matter what your age! We have just the fitness program for you!

Dates: November 2nd - December 19th (No session Wed 11/23)
Cost: $195
Time: Monday and Wednesday @ 10-11 AM


This Program will Include:

  • Improvement of strength, flexibility and balance
  • Development of confidence with daily activities
  • Education for both participants and their family members
  • Realistic goal-setting for increasing physical activity

This program IS DESIGNED for anyone that is:

  • 60 years old or older
  • Able to walk in the community approximately 300 ft. (length of a football field)
  • Able to walk with or without an assistive device
  • Concerned about falling or has a history of falls
  • Able to problem-solve
  • Motivated to improve their flexibility, balance and strength

We recommend that you are cleared by your primary care physician prior to beginning the class.
